Alexa (Q'orianka Kilcher) is een koerier die er van droomt om het centrum van de stad te ontvluchten en naar het Westen te trekken, om een nieuw leven op te bouwen. Die plannen nemen echter een dramatische wending wanneer zij akkoord gaat met het vervoeren van een pakketje dat de aandacht trekt van machtige concurrerende krachten. Alexa's lot zal voor altijd worden veranderd als ze plotseling deel uitmaakt van een wereldwijd complot, dat de macht heeft om alles te veranderen.
